Social Media is HUGE part of communications that every company/business should be taking advantage of, especially because most social media is free. Chick-fil-A uses most of the known Social Media out there. Many of the Franchise locations have Facebook pages for their specific location. I find this helpful. The Facebook for Lakeland N. Florida and South Florida give offers for that particular location. More personable and the audience is narrowed down to the local, which in this case is a good thing.

There is one main Chick-fil-A twitter account. Throughout the week and daily, tweets will be sent out. Some tweets thank all their supports and others ask what Chick-fil-A can do to make their experience at the restaurant better?

E-mail Insiders and Text Insiders allows anyone to subscribe and receive exclusive offers and promotions through e-mail and/or text. You can subscribe by going to the Chick-fil-A website. This is another way the company is connecting and creating closer relationships with the costumers.

Chick-fil-A has a channel on YouTube. A brief background of the company is given. With over 77,000 videos, one can find videos from Chick-fil-A and fans.

The Cathy Family has a blog found on the main website. A family blog with sections called Our Family, Values, Influence, and Blog. Bring personal thoughts and event to the family blog page. What a great way to show how family oriented the Chick-fil-A company is. On the blog, the RSS FEED icon gives anyone and everyone notice when the blog has been updated.

I feel Chick-fil-A could get their hands on a couple more social media tools. Some I would suggest are Instagram, think of how pictures of their food will bring people to the company craving the famous original chicken sandwich. Maybe even get a Pinterest account.

The online news room is the Press Release Page on the Chick-fil-A website. Offering the press releases that the company releases. Releases are shown in chronological order with the newest at the top. Thus, keeping viewers from having to scroll to the bottom or next page for the latest press release. All Press Releases are minimized with an “Expand” button to view the full release. Release’s are available for download as PDF files and one can View the Statement.
